Citrix Provisioning Servers gone offline

Under normal operation, PVS servers show up green in Provisioning Services Console.
Mine went orange and became unavailable, tried the following:
Tried making a change to the farm config like add a new collection. This returned a database error. 
On clicking more details, it clarified: the transaction logs had become full.
The details of the database can be found by right-clicking the farm and select properties. On the last tab the details of the dB and instance are listed.
This issue was resolved once the volume on which the database stores transaction logs on was cleared up, by running backups in our case, as the Edgesight, PVS and XenDesktop dB's all stored logs on the one volume.
